Woodland Creatures

This is a terribly cute print, available at Swedish artist Linn Warme’s Etsy store. And look, although it’s monochrome, there is a hint of spring: the sleeping fox is surrounded by tiny flowers.

Bring the outside in with a beautiful forest print. If you pick a big one, it’s almost like having a window with a view. The mist and muted colours of this print give it an arty quality. It’s also a great match for the chic wooden furniture.

This print matches wonderfully with the natural materials that are used in this interior. It’s also a great example of doing Christmas the subtle way. If bright colours and tinsel are not your thing, you can still create a lovely Christmas atmosphere.

This image of an owl in a snowy forest will look fantastic in your home when the weather is cold. And also when it’s not! It’s by talented nature lover Jennie Marie Schell and available at Fine Art America.

Using a clothes hanger is a fun way to hang a print, especially a pretty wooden one like this. It looks good with sober images, like this print with an entirely white background. Surrounded with fairy lights and branches, it makes for an enchanting little corner.

Now this is a stunning way to hang a print! Especially one of a stag with impressive antlers, as it makes for an interesting shape. It takes some patience and planning, but the result is well worth it.

Just opened in Amsterdam: The Pelican Studio. It’s a fabulous store selling fashion by hip brands such as Maison Kitsuné, Won Hundred and Wood Wood. The interior is just as eye-catching as the clothes, if not more so: a mix of sumptuous velvets and cool pastels.

With a pink this subtle, there’s no need to restrain yourself. Have the colour on your wall, in the prints on that wall and the fabrics of the couch and throw pillow. Brass touches and different picture frames add a certain richness to the look.

A pink piece of furniture makes a great statement, like this wonderfully designed chair and footstool. Make the most of the retro vibe of the design by choosing an equally retro print that has the same shade in it.

Sure, the food there is great, but Sketch in London is also known for its original interior. The restaurant is definitely not afraid of pink. Their velvet upholstering looks fantastic in pink, and the colour is a great match for the tile floor with shades of teal and peach.

It’s rare to find a floral still life without shades of pink, which is why they look so good on pink walls. This interior looks especially good as all the colours in the prints seem to pop up in the room: the cushions and accessories were clearly chose with care.

This graphic rug is by CC-Tapis, a label founded in 2011 by the traditional Persian house Maison Chamszadeh. All their rugs are designed in their headquarters in Milan, and made from Himalayan wool by Tibetan artisans in Nepal.

This interior really shows the powerful combination of pink with ochre and teal. It keeps the colour classy and grown-up. A simple graphic print also says: this look means business. No place for Barbie!

If you feel like a bit of experimenting but don’t want to commit to pink completely yet: just pick a simple piece of furniture and some prints with the shade in it. Together they will make an impact. By the way: how cool is this idea of hanging prints around a corner?
